Consulting
Our technical ability which is over (35) years in the Jet engine repair and parts business can greatly reduce your overhaul cost.
The service you receive starts with the engine removal and follows through from disassemble to test acceptance. We inspect all the engine parts at detail inspection to ensure the condemned items are just that and then review the test cell figures to make sure your engine is not marginal on performance. This inspection is done to protect our customers from poor parts handling and inspection. We also insure the overhaul shop whenever possible, writes specific repairs on certain items to further reduce the cost. Finally, we closely review the invoice for pricing irregularities.
This service is a no lose choice for our customers; it starts out by giving you a straight discount which you would not normally get and it gives you insurance that you are getting the best value for your dollar in this expensive process.
TSI receives a significant discount on new parts embodied in which we share this with our customers; if you already receive this discount we will charge a flat rate fee to oversee your engines repairs.

A few words about our founder.
Geral Hasten President and founder of TSI started as a Jet engine mechanic in1965. He soon transferred to inspector, assembly quality control manager, field service technician and customer service representative. In 1980 he set up the first satellite turbine shop in the USA for Cooper Airmotive / Aviall now known as Dallas Airmotive. In 1986 he left Aviall and took a job with Standard Aero as Pratt & Whitney Product Director. He started a new product line for the company, the Pratt & Whitney PT6 engine overhaul and repair shop in Winnipeg Canada. He also set up the first satellite turbine shop for Standard in the USA. In 1988 Geral left Standard Aero and went to Denver, Colorado for Turbo West. There he became the Maintenance Sales Director. His duties included managing repairs and overhauls of Pratt & Whitney JT15D and PT6 engines.
In 1989 he returned to the Dallas area and in 1992 Geral started his own company, Intech Aviation which later expanded into TSI, Turbine Source Int'l. Geral's vast knowledge of engines and parts has saved customers valuable time and money.
Geral puts it very simply. "...we couple our aviation parts and service knowledge with our outstanding commitment to service. By doing this we place our customers on a equal footing with their service and engine repair agencies. We do everything we can to give our customers a quality engine at the most economical price available."
